What we believe
Our Declaration of Faith
We believe in,
- The Bible as the Word of God
God inspired. God breathed out. The supreme and final authority in all matters relating to doctrine, faith and conduct and containing all that is necessary to instruct us in the way of salvation and holiness.
- The One Triune God
One in Three. Three in One. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Blessed Trinity.
- Jesus as the Son of God
Conceived by the Holy Spirit. Born of the Virgin Mary. Crucified, dead and buried. Raised on the third day. Ascended into heaven. Sitting at the right hand of God the Father from whence He shall come again at the appointed time.
- The Holy Spirit as the power of God
The third Person in the Trinity. Co-equal with the Father and the Son who equips His people for service and bestows His gifts upon us.
- The Fall of Man
In the Need for repentance and regeneration and for a living faith in Jesus.
- Salvation through faith alone
In the atoning work of Jesus on the Cross. In the work of conversion by means of repentance and faith on the part of the individual and through the work of the Holy Spirit.
- Baptism in water by immersion
The outward symbol of our inward faith and the formal means of entry into the Christian community.
- The Baptism (of Fullness) of the Holy Spirit
To equip us for God’s service and make us more effective in the world.
- The Breaking of Bread
A sacramental expression of our faith and a solemn reminder of what Jesus did upon the Cross.
- Holiness of life
In the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ as well as the ‘gifts’ and in the need to grow into spiritual maturity.
- The Church as the Body of Christ
Irrespective of denominational labels or traditions and comprising all those who have been ‘born into God’s Kingdom’ through a personal faith in Christ.
- The personality of the devil
And in the greater power of Christ to conquer him and overcome him.
- Divine healing
That is deliverance from sickness both in mind and body and freedom from satanic powers through the Name of Jesus.
- Jesus is alive today
Making possible salvation for the soul, healing for the body and peace for the mind.
